Sierra
Nevada World Music Festival
Once
again Mystic Lion was present at SNWMF. This year's new
flags flanked the main stage joining nearly 30 others
from past years that flew around the festival grounds.
Thanks
go to Warren and Gretchen for supporting our art and bringing
more wonderful music to California. My favorites were
Yami Bolo and Coco Tea on Friday, Pablo Moses on Saturday,
and Midnite on Sunday.
It
was nice to reason with Yami Bolo and some
of the players from Midnite, who took home Mystic Lion
art for their children and studio. It was
also a chance for us to enjoy Midnite twice in a week,
having seen their show in Santa Cruz a few days earlier.
Each performance is unique and spontaneous, with long
sets and new lyrics.
Thanks
to all our friends who shared our camp, webmaster extraordinaire
Evan Reiffel , Irie Dan from Good Vibez Entertainment,
Bob Slayton from One Love Productions, and many others.

The
20th Anniversary show was a great one for Mystic Lion. Our
custom designed flags were featured above the main stage. The
flags were 8 ft by 10 ft, specially sewn by Kym from hemp/silk
blend fabric, and weighed only 2 « pounds each. A
big thank you goes to Carol Bruno and Leo Valladares for
giving us the opportunity, and thanks to many, many folks
who offered their kind words and support.
The
cool weather and great music made for a wonderful event.
My favorites of the weekend were Culture, Israel Vibration,
Beres Hammond, Anthony B, and Toots. We'll be back next
year with more flags and art, and hopefully some surprises.
